Today I am pleased to say I am posting a short interview that front man and main songwriter Paul Cook gave me, focusing on his most recent work and his excellent new album Cheers Love. Paul left the UK to live in New York City and has released a great deal of fantastic music over the past ten years.
I caught up with Paul via email just after the New Year and asked him a few questions.
Congratulations on the release of Cheers Love, it's a superb album. I was first introduced to your music with The Vessels and I can follow the path and see the clear development in your songwriting with this. It reminds me of artists like Josh Rouse at times. Did it all come out the way you wanted it to?
